What Works:
Like any Ayushmann Khurrana starter, Dream Girl takes an out-of-the-box premise and rolls with it. The story and screenplay by Nirmaan D. Singh and director Raaj Shaandilyaa take this concept into bizarre escalations where all the punchlines land. With plenty of hilarious quirks and weird antics, Shaandilyaa manages to hold your attention and put a smile on your face throughout the film.
STORY:
Desperate to find employment, Karam picks up a job as ‘Pooja’ at a call center for sex chats, keeping most people in his life in the dark about the nature of his work. How long can he keep it up before everyone including his girlfriend and father find out?
What Could’ve Been Better:
Nushrat Bharucha‘s role as Ayushmann’s love interest in Dream Girl is underexplored, making her appearance seem like more of a cameo. Meanwhile, the film’s plot doesn’t go much deeper than the unique premise but it ends up being good enough for a laugh-worthy entertainer.
Why You Should Watch:
Led by Ayushmann Khurrana, the whole cast will keep you thoroughly entertained. Watch Dream Girl to enjoy a laughter ride that is packed with entertaining characters that deliver non-stop comic punches.
